§ Mr. Stephen Rossasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will consider making arrangements to allow visits longer than 15 minutes to prisoners' relatives who can visit only infrequently because the prisoner is on remand in a prison at some distance from home; and whether 6W he will consider giving financial assistance with the cost of travel in such cases.
§ Mr. BrittanInstructions to governors already provide for longer visits at their discretion in special circumstances. Assisted travel is available every four weeks, and I cannot at present improve upon that.
