§ Mr. ParkinsonOur policy is to buy British goods wherever possible, consistent with our international obligations, not just because they are British but because we expect them to be the best available. We expect British industry to be able to stand up to international competition. Nevertheless, my Department actively pursues all cases where competition is distorted in possible breach of the Treaty of Rome. I should be pleased to receive any information that the hon. Member may have which relates to illegally subsidised imports.
