§ The Attorney-General[pursuant to his reply, 30 October 1980, c. 329]: In the year ending 30 October 1980, 13 cases involving shoplifting were referred to the Director of Public Prosecutions for his advice for many different reasons. I have written to my hon. Friend with the information about the reasons for referral.
