§ Mr. MonroI have considered a proposal made by the Westminster city council that a new entrance for vehicles should be created in Hyde Park to replace Victoria Gate. Alternative road layouts have also been prepared by the council, which has borne the cost of all the design work; these are currently under discussion between the Department and the council. When these discussions are complete I will be in a position to decide if any action is appropriate.
