§ Mr. Altonasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will consider providing support for the Victims of Violence organisation as well as providing greater support for victims.
§ Mr. BrittanThe Government admire the valuable work done by local victim support schemes. The National Association of Victims support schemes exists to support and foster such schemes, 60 of which are affiliated to the association. We believe that central Government aid for victim support schemes is best given by way of the grant made to the national association.
