HC Deb 03 November 1980 vol 991 c411W
Sir Anthony Royle

asked the Secretary of State for Trade if he will give an assurance that Her Majesty's Government will not support the construction of a fifth terminal at London airport, Heathrow; if he has received any further communication from British Airways on a proposed fifth terminal; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Tebbit

The Government's view remains as set out in the statement made on 17 December 1979 by my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State, that a fifth terminal should not be provided. I have received no recent communications from British Airways on this subject.
