§ Mr. Hendersonasked the Minister of Transport if he will draw to the attention of chief constables the vehicle construction and use regulation 97 requiring that a load shall at all times be secured, if necessary by some physical restraint other than its own weight, so that neither danger nor nuisance is caused.
§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeI see no particular reason for a special circular. Many successful prosecutions have been obtained for infringement of this regulation and it is reasonable to believe that chief constables are aware of the requirements.
