§ Mr. HurdNo. But in the timing of any sanctions order, full consideration will be given to the wish of the House to be able to debate the order at the earliest possible opportunity.
§ Mr. Winnickasked the Lord Privy Seal when it is intended to lay any sanctions orders against Iran; how many orders he proposes to lay; what areas of trade the orders will cover; and what estimate he has of the amount of trade which will be affected by each.
§ Mr. HurdThe Government's intention is to make the necessary order or orders as soon as possible, and not later than the end of next week. The details are still being studied, in the light of the measures which our colleagues in the European Community are introducing.
