§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeWe expect to introduce regulations early next year requiring all new goods vehicles over 3.5 tonnes laden weight to be fitted with strong rear underride guards to prevent, as far as is practicable, cars and motor446W cycles running beneath them. These will be an improvement over the guards already fitted voluntarily to some commercial vehicles.
