§ 38. Mr. Hooleyasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what progress has been made in the International Monetary Fund with the discussions on a substitution account.
§ Mr. LawsonThe IMF interim committee discussed the proposed substitution account on 25 April. The committee noted that the executive board had reached provisional agreement on a wide range of features of the account; and that some issues remained to be solved, including arrangements for the maintenance of financial balance in the account. The interim committee expressed its intention to continue its work on this subject.
