§ Mr. Alexander FletcherThe Government are fully aware of the need for further industrial growth in Dundee and will continue in their efforts to attract industry to the area and to strengthen the industrial base. The area continues to have special development area status with all the benefits and incentives that entails. The Government will ensure that companies, considering setting up in the city, whether in oil-related business or other activities, are made fully aware of the assistance available and are given every encouragement.
