§ Mr. FowlerThe security of computer records at the DVLC is regularly scrutinised both within my Department and by Government experts in computer frauds. A few isolated clerical attempts to make unauthorised changes to driver licence records have been detected in the past, but I understand that electronic tampering is not feasible. If my hon. Friend will let me have his evidence of criminal activity involving DVLC's computer records, I will investigate immediately.
