HC Deb 21 May 1980 vol 985 c260W
Mr. Faulds

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what action his Department has taken concerning the preservation of Butchers Farm Barn, Worsthorne, Lancashire, a listed building; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Monro

I understand that this building, listed grade II, was demolished towards the end of last year before it had been decided whether to call in the application for determination.

At the time of demolition the application was being considered by the local planning authority, Burnley borough council. It is for the borough council to decide what further action, if any, should be taken in these circumstances, and it would not therefore be appropriate for me to make a statement whilst the matter is still in its hands.
