§ Mr. BrittanNo such guidance has been issued by the Home Office. However, the relevant case law is reflected in the handbook for newly appointed justices of the peace, which is issued by the Lord Chancellor's Department to magistrates upon appointment and of which a copy has been placed in the Library.
