§ Mr. Nicholas Wintertonasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what representations he has received from the Hotel Catering and Institutional Management Association regarding his recent consultative instrument " Patients First "; what, if any, response he has made; and if he will make a statement.
§ Dr. VaughanWe have received the association's comments in a letter of 25 April and they will be studied as we review the proposals in " Patients First ". Our conclusions on the organisation of the catering function will be included in a policy statement on the structure and management of the NHS which my right hon. Friend hopes to make in July.
