HL Deb 12 May 1980 vol 409 cc90-1WA
OFFICE (Lord Belstead)

There were 38 persons under 17 detained at Harmonds-worth for one night or more more during the quarter January-March 1980. Twenty-eight were under the age of 12. Seven were unaccompanied by an adult relative: 5 of these were aged 16, one of whom was in charge of two younger siblings.

Two-hundred and seventy-one persons under 17 were detained at Harmonds-worth in 1978 and 315 in 1979, but the further breakdown requested for these years could only be obtained at disproportionate cost.
