asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what was the number of pupils for each area board and for Northern Ireland as a whole who passed the 11-plus examination in its last year of operation and the number of pupils given free grammar school education in the succeeding years under the 11-plus transfer arrangement.

Citizens of the Republic of Ireland are eligible as candidates and members of local authorities in Northern Ireland if they reside or have their principal place of work within the district of the council and if they were on the electoral register in force on 29 March 1962 and are not otherwise disqualified.
