§ Mr. Skeetasked the Secretary of State for Energy when he expects the five generating units of the Isle of Grain power station will be completed; and what assessment he has made of oil-fuelled capacity of the Central Electricity Generating Board by that date.
§ Mr. Norman LamontI am advised by the Central Electricity Generating Board that it has decided that work on the four uncompleted units at Grain should cease by 27 June. Resumption of work on units 1 and 3, which have almost been completed, will depend on the resolution of industrial problems on the site.
Sixteen per cent. of the board's main generating plant is oil-fuelled.
