HC Deb 06 May 1980 vol 984 c76W
Mr. Marks

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if, in view of the urgent need to make proper arrangements in the current year for parents to have time to consider the choice of secondary schools for their children, he will now announce his decision on the Tameside education authority's reorganisation scheme.

Mr. Mark Carlisle

I have today written to the Tameside authority, informing it of my decision to approve its proposals for reorganisation of the county secondary schools in the borough along comprehensive lines from September 1980.
