§ Mr. HayhoeThe estimated total current annual cost of the education and training of civilian staff employed by the Ministry of Defence is as follows:
Non-industrial staff— £21,000,000 Industrial staff— £40,000,000 (of which £38,000,000 is the cost of apprentice training) These figures represent the total annual cost of training carried out within the Department, by the Civil Service college or externally and include basic staff costs of the students, but exclude travel and subsistence allowances.
