§ Sir Donald Kaberryasked the Minister of Transport what progress his Department has made in the preparation of the installation of automatic traffic signals at the junction of Weetwood Lane and Long Causeway, Leeds outer ring road, A6120; and when the signals will be installed and in use in view of the constant accidents at that junction and the recent double fatality in an accident in April of this year.
§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeI am aware of the accident problems at this junction on the Leeds outer ring road and from the information now available it seems likely that traffic signals would be the710W answer. A scheme is now in preparation and, if this is practicable, and funds are available, I hope work can start in the spring of 1981.
