§ Dr. Roger Thomasasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will institute a public campaign to impress upon the population the importance of protective immunisation in infancy against diphtheria.
§ Sir George YoungThe average level of uptake of vaccination against diphtheria in England and Wales is comparatively high and the disease occurs very rarely. In view of these factors, I do not consider a public campaign is at present called for.
