asked Her Majesty's Government:

What countries have been invited to send representatives to the Defence Sales Organisation's British Army Equipment Exhibition to be held at Aldershot from 23rd to 27th June; what companies have accepted the Government's invitation to exhibit there and what types of equipment each of them will be showing.

Information concerning the countries invited to attend the British Army Equipment Exhibition has been treated as confidential by successive Governments in deference to the wishes of many potential customers. A list of companies who have so far indicated that they intent do take part was given to the noble Lord, Lord Brockway, on Tuesday, 29th April.

The items on display will cover a wide range of Army equipment, including the following main categories:

  • Ammunition
  • Armoured Fighting Vehicles
  • Communication Equipment
  • Engineer Equipment and Bridging
  • Guided Weapons
  • Guns
  • Helicopters
  • Logistic Vehicles
  • Personal Military Equipment
  • Pyrotechnics
