§ Mr. MacfarlaneProfessor Mittler wrote to my right hon. and learned Friend on 17 March seeking an assurance that the Government had not changed their policy on special education since their meeting on 3 March and he is replying to Professor Mittler reassuring him on that point. As allowed for in their expenditure plans—Cmnd. 7841—the Government's policy is to maintain expenditure on special education at broadly its current level.
