§ Mr. Alfred Morrisasked the Prime Minister what representations she has 475W received from the Manchester Chamber of Commerce and Industry with regard to establishing the production units of Inmos in Manchester what reply she is sending; and if she will make a statement.
§ The Prime MinisterThe President of the chamber wrote to me on 9th March, enclosing a copy of the detailed case that he had put to my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Industry in support of the claims of the Manchester area as a location for Inmos production units. In reply my Private Secretary said that I would take note of these representations. My right hon. Friend will make a statement when a decision is reached.
