§ Mr. Eldon Griffithsasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what arrangements he has made for the sale of land owned by his Department at Wenham Orchards, Suffolk; what safeguards he is providing for those employed there; and if he will ensure that all those employed in the orchards, who live in tied cottages, will retain their houses.
§ Mr. WigginThe Land Settlement Association orchard at Denham is to be sold by auction during the summer. I am keenly aware of the need to safeguard the interests of the staff. Detailed consideration is being given to both points my hon. Friend makes and I shall write to him when a decision has been reached.
