§ Mr. Wrigglesworthasked the Secretary of State for Social Services when he anticipates the London health planning consortium will be abolished.
§ Mr. Patrick JenkinThe London health planning consortium will remain in being for the time being. It has completed some of its work in producing a number of speciality study group reports and a discussion document on the balance of teaching and service needs in London, but still has important work to do. The "Report on Non-Departmental Public Bodies"—Cmnd. 7797—recognised that the consortium had a continuing role in developing solutions to the major problems relating to health services in London and it has recently set in hand a major study of primary care services in London. This study is unlikely to be completed before the end of 1980.
