asked the Secretary of State for the Environment (1) if he will publish an assessment of the full scale experimental "Harvest" plant with simulated fission product operated by the Atomic Energy Authority at Harwell;

(2) what has been the total expenditure on research in the United Kingdom on the Fingal/Harvest vitrification process for incorporating waste into cylindrical glass blocks.
