§ Mr. Patrick JenkinIn 1978–79 the direct administrative costs of community health councils in England was £3.5 million: the corresponding cost in 198081 is expected to be over £4 million. There are also unquantifiable indirect costs. Following the present consultation. I hope to announce my plans for the future of community health councils this summer.
