§ Mr. William Wilsonasked the Lord Privy Seal if the Union Jack, hung outside the British Embassy in the Unter den Linden, East Berlin, on Saturday 8 March, is the only such flag possessed by the embassy; if not, why such a dirty Union Jack was used on that day; and if so, if he proposes either to purchase a new flag or to have the present one cleaned.
§ Mr. HurdThe British Embassy in East Berlin has enough flags but cannot provide a clean one every day. The Diplomatic Ensign flown there on 8 March had suffered from rain the previous day.
