asked the Secretary of State for Employment how many men over 60 years of age have been unemployed for more than 12 months in the Crook and Bishop Auckland employment office areas.

At 10 January, the latest date for which an age and duration analysis of the unemployed is available, the numbers of men over 60 years of age who had been registered as unemployed for more than 52 weeks in the Crook and Bishop Auckland employment office areas were 50 and 55, respectively.
