asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer, further to his reply dated 20 December concerning the increase in the money supply required to sustain output in 1979, whether he has assumed that there is a fixed relationship between money and prices even at less than full capacity working; and what steps the Government have taken to ensure that the reduction in the money supply will not be offset by a rise in unit costs as output falls.
