§ Mr. Campbell-Savoursasked the Secretary of State for Employment what EEC funds will be available towards the Maryport skillcentre; and to what extent its future is dependent on the availability of any European funds.
§ Mr. Jim Lester[pursuant to his reply, 10 March 1980, c. 396]: I am informed by the Manpower Services Commission that an allocation of almost £2 million has been made by the European social fund in respect of an application covering 648W training provision in the Northern region for 1979–80. However, these funds are not attributed directly to individual skillcentres. The availability or otherwise of European funds is not directly pertinent to the MSC's consideration of the future of Maryport skillcentre.
