HC Deb 12 March 1980 vol 980 c619W
Mr. Marlow

asked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will seek to introduce legislation to make more effective provision for redress through the courts to persons subject to interference or threat at their place of work.

Mr. Mayhew

The Employment Bill, which is now before the House, already contains proposals to provide more effective redress for persons subject to interference or threat at their place of work. In addition, we have published a consultative working paper proposing greater legal protection against secondary action such as strikes and blacking with a view to including an appropriate amendment to the Bill before it leaves the House of Commons.
