asked the Secretary of State for Industry whether, in the light of the international situation, he will introduce a stockpile of critical raw materials, particularly ferro-chromium, ferro-miobium, ferro-manganese, ferro-molybdenum, ferro-silicon, ferro-vanadium, cobalt, nickel and titanium.

Responsibility for the procurement and any necessary stockpiling of raw materials lies primarily with users of them. There is, however, continuing contact between industry and Government on the supply situation, including the possible need for stockpiling.
