§ Mr. Bestasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department (1) how many police and civilian drivers or passengers of vehicles owned by police authorities, who have not been covered by a police authority policy of insurance, have sustained serious injuries or died as a result of road traffic accidents over the last 10 years;
(2) if he will publish in the Official Report the police authorities in England and Wales which have taken out policies of insurance for both police and civilian personnel who drive, or are passengers in, police authority owned vehicles, and the authorities which have excluded themselves from such provision by reason of section 144 of the Road Traffic Act, 1972.
