HC Deb 11 March 1980 vol 980 c523W
Mr. Pawsey

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will ensure that copies of "Protect and Survive" which are put on sale to the general public are sold at the cheapest possible price to ensure that people are not deterred from purchasing the booklet on grounds of price.

Mr. Brittan

Yes.

Mr. Pawsey

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if, further to his reply of 3 March to the hon. Member for Rugby, he will provide, free of charge, copies of "Protect and Survive" to all local authorities, including parish councils, in Great Britain with the request that its contents be drawn to the attention of the public.

Mr. Brittan

No. Local authorities will be able to use the booklet's advice in their own publicity arrangements.
