§ 25. Mr. Beithasked the Secretary of State for Defence whether he has authorised the Property Services Agency to negotiate on his behalf such payments towards the Amble north pier breakwater as he considers appropriate, in view of the delay and increased cost which were caused by his Department's involvement in and subsequent withdrawal from the scheme.
§ Mr. SpeedI have not authorised negotiations of this nature but the Property Services Agency will be discussing with the Alnwick district council on my behalf the whole question of the repair of the Amble north pier breakwater.
