HC Deb 10 March 1980 vol 980 c464W
Mr. Nicholas Winterton

asked the Secretary of State for Trade what steps have been taken by his Department and the EEC Commission to prevent polyester filament yarns and nylon carpet yarns from the United States of America entering the United Kingdom by free circulation from other member States, in excess of the quotas recently set by his Department and the Commission.

Mr. Parkinson

The European Commission has undertaken to take appropriate action to the extent that diversion of trade through free circulation occurs.
