§ Mr. Robert Taylorasked the Lord Privy Seal what is the estimated cost of the United Kingdom contribution to the enlarged Stabex scheme which is set up under the new Lomé convention; and whether such cost is additional to the £515 million to be contributed by the United Kingdom to the European Development Fund intended to be established by the same convention.
§ Mr. Neil MartenThe estimated cost to the United Kingdom of the Stabex scheme under the second Lomé convention is £61 million. This is included in the approximately £515 million that the United Kingdom will contribute to the fifth European development fund which is established under Lomé II.
