HC Deb 06 March 1980 vol 980 c314W
Mr. James Johnson

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will make compensatory payments for those Hull trawlers laid up in the Albert dock and the William Wright dock in Hull, for the coming month, until he has made his new agreement at Brussels upon the EEC common fisheries policy when they will be able to fish again.

Mr. Buchanan-Smith

My right hon. Friend is considering this and a number of other proposals made by the industry for temporary financial assistance.
