§ Mr. HayhoeThe United States Navy has asked whether the Ministry of Defence can provide married quarters as an alternative to quarters it has been considering building on Ministry of Defence land at West Ruislip. As part of the general review of Government property holdings we are urgently examining our requirements for married quarters in the London area, and if we can offer quarters to the United States Navy, we shall. I cannot at present say when the review will be completed or whether it will be possible to meet United States Navy requirements.
§ Mr. Shersbyasked the Secretary of State for Defence on what date land at West Ruislip air base was transferred by his Department to the Property Services Agency.
§ Mr. HayhoeThe Property Services Agency is taking preliminary action on the disposal of approximately 20 acres of land at West Ruislip. Outstanding details have now been cleared and the land will be passed formally to it within a few days.
