§ Mr. Kilroy-Silkasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will detail the agreement that has been reached between the Sefton community health council and Park Lane and Moss Side hospital for greater access for the community health council.
§ Sir George YoungThe experimental arrangements provide for the community health council to visit the hospitals and see patients, subject to certain conditions of security and confidentiality, and for the CHC secretary to be able to interview patients at their request at regular intervals.
I am sending the hon. Member a copy of the letter, sent by the hospital administrator to the community health council secretary, setting out the arrangements which have now been agreed. I am also placing a copy in the Library of the House.
