asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many redundancies have been intimated in Scotland and in Strathclyde, respectively, in the last six months.

Mr. Younger

In the last six months redundancies involving 21,000 workers have been notified to the Manpower Services Commission as having taken effect in Scotland. Of these 15,500 were in Strathclyde.
