HC Deb 05 March 1980 vol 980 c187W
Mr. Cryer

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many instruments for the measurement of radioactivity are available in Keighley and West Yorkshire, respectively, in the event of nuclear conflict.

Mr. Brittan

Present plans provide for 2,693 survey meters and 10,408 dosimeters to be allocated to West York-sire county council in a war emergency. Distribution within the county is a matter for the county council.
