§ Mr. David MitchellA copy of the latest progress report of the office machinery sector working party has been 225W placed in the Library. The recommendations in the report for action by the Government are being considered and a reply will in due course be sent to the sector working party.
§ Mrs. Renée Shortasked the Secretary of State for Industry if he is satisfied that the available statistics are sufficient for monitoring the progress of the office machinery industry; what resources his Department devotes to this; how this compares with the previous five years; and what plans he has to improve the quality of the statistics collected.
