§ Mr. Nicholas EdwardsYes. The Meat and Livestock Commission carries out its agency functions in Wales effectively. The review the commission has recently undertaken of its levy funded activities will enable it to continue to provide 217W valuable services for the meat and livestock industry in Wales.

§ Mr. Nicholas EdwardsNo. The commission's general activities are funded entirely out of the levy on slaughterings of livestock, and fees and charges paid by the industry. The Government will continue to finance agency services undertaken by the commission on their behalf.
