§ Mrs. Renée Shortasked the Secretary of State for Trade, pursuant to his reply to the hon. Member for Wolverhampton, North-East on 20 February, how many closures of consumer advice centres have been notified to him or of how many he is aware.
§ Mr. EyreClosure of consumer advice centres is a matter for the local authorities concerned and there is no obligation upon them to notify me of their decisions after 31 March 1980. But I am aware that decisions to close 40 out of a total of 120 centres have so far been taken.
