§ Dr. BoysonFor students outside London the basic rates of grant for the academic year 1962–63 were £300—for those living in lodgings—and £320—for those living in hall or college. In the current academic year the basic rate of grant for both categories is £1,245, representing at current prices 94 per cent. and 88 per cent. of the comparable rates for 1962–63.
