§ Mr. Kilroy-Silkasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if the deliberations of the working parties set up in 1978 to examine the working of the regulations and procedure for the inspection of secure units by officials of social work services have been completed; and if he will publish the reports.
§ Sir George YoungThe report of an internal departmental working group entitled, "Inspection of Secure Accommodation for Children and Young Persons—Guidance for Social Work Service", has been circulated to the Department's social work service and wider circulation is envisaged. The report of a similar working party entitled, "Legal and Professional Aspects of the Use of Secure Accommodation for Children in Care", is still being considered.
